There are some good points raised in this thread.

Here are some concrete things we can do to improve the current
situation (some have already been mentioned, I will just add my
support)

1. Develop a new front page. Something like FrontPageDraft is good
place to start working on it

2. Accelerate the process of splitting out the help. The CC raised
some good issues the last time it was raised there. So lets get
working on:

3. Work on alternative style sheet. Here are some my
thoughts/affirmations of previous thoughts
-reduce text size
-change the {{{ style to that of the edubuntu style sheet

Again, most of these ideas are not mine. I just wanted to mention them
in a single email.
