I agree with Stuart (wow, excellent evaluation, too) -- we need more
details of what sort of slowness the user is suffering. I don't find
Launchpad particularly speedy either, but I confess I've never spent
time looking into why it is, nor do I have hard data to make a point.

I do think this is worth boffing, but only if we can get more
specifics.
