I suspect the long-term goal is too bring as much as possible into
Launchpad's graviational field.  I noticed tonight that you can now have
your little simple 1-page web page for your account, and the calendar is
there, teams are available (are mailing lists far behind?), and there is
an option to import your own  hackergotchi (but that one doesn't work
for me).  

I'm sure whoever goes to UBZ will get a better idea of what they have in
mind for the long-term.  but in the short-term, it seems new options are
coming up very regularly; and that can only mean tighter integration
with other Ubuntu's real estate, or plain and simple merging (Like
bugzilla into Malone sooner than later)
