Hi there!

We certainly appreciate any help at all. A good place to start to find
out how to get involved is here:

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam

Also, subscribe to the mailing list here:

As far as helping with the userguide is concerned, you are going to have
to wait for a while, as we still need to form our targets for the next
release and think about whether to write the userguide in its current
form, change its direction, or abandon it entirely.

This will be done in a fairly major docteam meeting at some stage
(probably after the release of Breezy Badger I expect). Feel free to
contribute ideas on that.

In the meantime, another great way to contribute to documentation is by
helping out on the wiki (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UserDocumentation ).
There are pages that need tidying up here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CategoryCleanup and people on the mailing list
or on irc (#ubuntu-doc at freenode) will be able to point you in the
right direction.

Thanks for your interest.

Matt
