Greetings, how can I help?

I've just started lurking on this list with the aim of contributing to
the documentation project. I'm curently a newswire editor in London
(journalist for 20 years), but I haven't done technical writing
before. I am, however, familiar with Linux, emacs and (more vaguely)
docbook tools. I have been using Ubuntu, too, since early Warty.

On the server side, I have some experience setting up LTSP, MoinMoin
(my mostly locked down family wiki running on Breezy is at
https://wiki.eamonnsullivan.co.uk), DHCP, subversion and a few other
server tasks. I'm planning in January to build a second server for
running the wiki, backup services and subversion repository, with the
aim of running Dapper Drake on it.

On the client side, my religious persuasion is Gnome/emacs, but I'm
not in favour of burning KDE/vim at the stake.

I'm an i386 shop, mostly.

I have signed the Ubuntu code.

How can I start? What chapters/sections/bits and pieces lack volunteers?
