I'm the instigator here, and I'll chime in on this part of the thread
to ask -- since I actually happen to be a technical writer (though at
this moment not actively making a living as one), is there a FAQ or a
howto describing the "how to get started" updating .deb packaged
documentation, or do I have to jump straight into the deep water on my
own?
The web page I could probably figure out, but I've never looked into
the tools used to write man pages. But even if I did all that, I don't
know the procedure for submitting changes to the package. Oh, and of
course there's always the tiny little issue of a style guide ;-) and
which/whether one applies it or not!
Of course since I can't devote much time to it I might not meet a
tight schedule but I do actually have some clue about how to get the
writing part done.
P.S.: The documentation for backuppc is actually better done than the
average, just not quite "localized" for the distro...
