Mike,

you should talk to Mako. Until February he was doing weekly Ubuntu Traffic, 
but it seems it was a bit too much work for him since they started appearing 
later and later until they stopped in February.

It was a great weekly thing  and I'm sure if a bunch of people would get 
together to spread out the work load, it could be revived for the benefit of 
everyone.


You should also look at The Fridge proposal 
(http://udu.wiki.ubuntu.com/TheFridge).  The plan is too have that web site 
running hopefully by the fall and Brezzy's release.   That would be the 
natural location for summaries of what's going on in the Ubuntu community.
