The jscripts are used in the following instances:
1. To enable the TOC tree to be expanded and collopsed, so affording th euser
greater control of the tree frames screen real-estate.
2. On a topic there may be multiple tasks (procedures) and related topics. In
the topic page (main) these are not left to the bottom of the page, but are
collected into a list on the top right. Related tasks and Related Topics
lists can be expanded or collapsed. Again this helps the user see the intro
to the topic and the related info in a single screen. Its about managing the
screen real-estate more effectively.
3. The web-based app also includes a search function. This is located above
the toc (top left). Since the user may not always need to see the search
function, this to can be collapsed to give more frame real-estate back to the
toc.
