           Summary: Hibernate destroys boot configuration
           Product: Documentation
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: i386
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: General
        AssignedTo: debzilla at ubuntu.com
        ReportedBy: timlindner at web.de
         QAContact: ubuntu-doc at lists.ubuntu.com

After testing the hibernate modus on my PC, it freezes and doesn't shut down at all.
After a while (2 min.) I restartet the whole system with a coldboot.

The next boot process tries to check my root reiserfs partition, but it detects a ext3 partition! Because of this
the kernel can't chroot into it and it gives me a kernel panic.

The system isn't able to boot anymore.

Replaying the reiserfs journal with a live boot cd changes nothing.
