I agree with Matt.  A certain balance needs to be struck.  People not
only want DVD, MP3, etc., etc. they simply won't accept a system without
it.  There certainly is an opportunity to bridge the information gap
concerning issues like this (that is why sources like ubutunguide.org,
etc. are so popular).
