Quick Guide help

Hi

I joined the list a couple of days ago, and have spent much of my free
time since then browsing through the December and January archives. I
have also been browsing the Wiki. There's a lot there and I haven't
absorbed all of it just yet - it might take a while.

In any case, it looks like some help is needed on the Quick Guide. I
could write some of the material required, but I would probably just
copy the Introduction section from the yelp file for each app. For
example, this is what I would insert for the Music Player blurb,
copied directly from yelp:

<blurb>
Music Player is a ID3 organized, music library and player for your
MP3, FLAC or Ogg/Vorbis music files. Current Music Player features
include:

- Play MP3, FLAC or Ogg/Vorbis music files from your ID3 organized Library.
- Display information on the songs through meta-data reading.
- Display songs in an organized view.
- Create playlist by dragging and dropping from the Library view.
- Search for entries in the Library. Listen to Internet radio stations.
</blurb>

It would be quick, and at least as accurate as the original yelp data
is. (Except, in this case, some modification may be required: Ubuntu's
Music Player can't do MP3 out of the box....)

If this is agreeable to you all, how would I go about doing this? I'm
not afraid to learn DocBook and svn, it's just going to take some
time.

I could post the text to the list, but it seems it would be almost as
time consuming for someone to convert it to DocBook from there as it
would to copy it from yelp themselves.

Where's the best place to get up to speed on the use of DocBook?

Cheers,
Jeff
