Well no one has complained so I have changed them to xhtml. the docs
validate now, even if scrollkeeper doesn't seem to understand the xhtml
dtd and we may have to think about shipping it with the package ;)
In any case, if anyone has any views on this and doesn't like the
change, we can discuss.
