We maintain several such lists already:

All of these are areas where we are actively seeking help from the
community.

If these resources are not easy enough to find, I would appreciate some
input from the doc team on how this could be improved.  I think we should
have a streamlined path from the front page of the website leading to
information about projects that need help (such as the above).
