I think having tools like 'annotate' and 'log' show you the changes to
actual content, rather than showing you the changes to a patch file
seems to make a lot more sense.
If you have a hook that makes the working tree deb-compatible, it can
just as easily tell something like 'debuild' that the patches are
already applied.
