I mentioned pubsubhubbub during the sprint today, in the context of
enabling event driven things on top of launchpad.
So, to avoid ambiguity, this is the url for the spec:
http://pubsubhubbub.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/pubsubhubbub-core-0.2.html
I encourage everyone to read it, even if AMPQ or other things are in
your mind as potential solutions. Its a solid spec, small and clear,
with consideration of scaling and performance taken into account.
It is the mechanism by which wordpress publications are relayed to
google-reader accounts pretty much instantly.
Supporting pubsubhubbub on our existing atom feeds would enable event
based programming for soyuz archives, branches and so forth.
