Yes, someone should just JFDI this. I suspect handling the syntax is a
relatively minor part of the work involved, so there's no reason to
block work on this on making a final definitive decision on the syntax.
FWIW I think the “;key=value” syntax is fine, although obviously there's
some scope for debating what keys and values to allow... “branch=NICK” for
colocated branches seems fine to me, and “revid=REVID” and
“revno=NNN” seem like obvious choices as well.
