If it's as straightforward as that, then how about making it appear as an option under grub by default in Edgy? Something like "Ubuntu - Safe Graphical Mode".<br><br>I didn't experience the breakage that happened today with xserver-xorg-core. Would this have been a viable option given today's breakage to enable users to login graphically?
