In advance: Please forgive me if this is not the appropriate place to address package maintenance issues. The Ubuntu version of package "quanta" needs to suggest package "kdebase-kio-plugins" I have seen numerous users express frustration in forums about the apparent lack of support in Quanta running under Gnome for the most popular and useful transfer protocols, such as sftp. This is resolved by installing the kio package (I think). As for myself, I installed the kdebase metapackage, but I believe this is not necessary. Thanks.
