Hello,

I was on +1 last week. I could not spend as much time as I wanted on it due
to being back from vacations and dealing with other commitments.

## ffmpeg transition

I spent most of my time helping with the ffmpeg 7 transition. First I made
sure every package was either set for removal or had a bug to fix it. Then
worked on fixes for packages that we wanted to keep in the archive if
possible.

### mplayer

FTBFS due to gcc-14 (see
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1075294). Opened
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mplayer/+bug/2080493 and
submitted a patch (importing patches from upsteam). jbicha reviewed and
uploaded.

### xmms2

2 existing bugs in Debian:
- https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1075672

FTBFS with gcc-14. Opened
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xmms2/+bug/2080596 and submitted
a patch. Waiting for a review by sponsors.
FTBFS with ffmpeg 7 (a deprecated member of the AVCodecContext struct was
removed). Opened
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xmms2/+bug/2080640 and submitted
a patch. Waiting for a review by sponsors.

## pbdagcon against dazzdb

Failing autopkgtest due to a now invalid checksum in test due to the new
version of daligner. Opened
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pbdagcon/+bug/2080254.
Submitted
https://code.launchpad.net/~upils/ubuntu/+source/pbdagcon/+git/pbdagcon/+merge/472987.
Waiting for a review.

### libcxx-serial

Waiting on catkin, built from ros-catkin. Last upload in mantic
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ros-catkin/0.8.10-11. Not in the
archive anymore. Should we remove libcxx-serial? (only reverse-depends:
opencpn)

### golang-github-go-git-go-git

Failing autopkgtest due to a test in the go test suite failing.
Investigated but I was raced by zhsj for the fix.

Regards,

Paul Mars
