Hi,
the further analysis of this has already happened in [1].
Real support was added in a later version and will be fully fixed by >=0.9.16.
I had hoped that >0.9.16 would appear in Debian before FF, but 0.9.17
was the next upload and it was too late.
But that means we can sync it next cycle and drop the delta that you
added to mitigate it now.
