Unity APIs weekly (wk 21)

Hi,

short status summary of last week:


Scopes

- Investigated current phone lenses for special functionality that needs
to be included in regular 13.10 scopes
- Started porting UnityCore to phablet tree
- 100 scopes still not landed in saucy because of testing and autopilot
failures which are currently fixed
- Proof-of-concept implementation of dynamic loader for scopes (running
multiple scopes in one process)


Indicators

- Completed IDO, so indicators implemented with new architecture will
also work in 13.10 nux based Unity without changes. Everything is
reviewed, final push still missing
- Further progress on power indicator, widgets still missing though


Other

- Another iteration on the common actions API proposal which provides
actions for HUD, indicators and launcher. Final review/approval this
week with architects
- First draft version of launcher shell interfaces
