Unless they diverge on WMs (which they'll do) or other parts. If a non-default
WM (like kwim) exposes a problem more, it might not be less of a priority.
Basically debugging WM-HW-stack interaction might still be the task of the
desktop maintainer.
(As for the "rxvt" bug: call it the "rxvt, xterm, gnome-terminal, emacs, and
gvim" bug to understand its severeness. But I guess people might argue that
it's somewhere in the X11 stack and Xmir will be easy to debug. Or
something.)
