And to that end, we /do/ tend to ask whether people have had any
communication with upstream/Debian, since having a good relationship
and being willing/able to handle "hey, we're hitting this bug in
Ubuntu. Did that come up in Debian? Oh, you have a patch? Great, I'll
integrate that..." is a Good Thing (TM).  Likewise forwarding
patches...
