Both types of applications should be promoted in the USC, I don't think
that being closed source is a stigma of sort if the application is well
written - i.e. it uses all the libraries we provide and not some antique
technologies.

But yes, I believe that when we give users an option to pay for
proprietary software we should also give them a way to pay for the open
one. That's not going to be easy as some of the earlier talks about this
subject has shown but I was under the impression that the idea is still
being worked on.
