Hey Martin,

Thank you for working on that, the changes look great. 
I had to write a bunch of mir some weeks ago and I find the current way
not very efficient (lot of confirming that things are fine, doing
changes on the wiki then opening a bug, etc) 
+1 from me for the changes you are suggesting!
