Do we know if some of the people managing the requests hang out on
#debian-ubuntu as well?
All in all, I believe the best way to go forward with this and similar
collaboration activities is identifying a group of people interested in
both Debian and Ubuntu, and in fact people on #debian-ubuntu are a good
first approximation of that. If some of the people with Ubuntu hats on
that channel can manage the requests, then it would be a good idea to
list them in the channel topic or so. (Of course this is no substitute
for mail-based requests, but it could be a nice complement.)
