Working conditions of Our Partner Vendors'

Recently I news such as this one [1] have been popping up more and
more frequently in my google reader.

Do Ubuntu partners such as Dell & IBM have similar working conditions?
(I guess it affects everyone in electronics really)

Is there similar scheme to FairTrade for Electronics sweatshops?

Afterall, as humanity, we still have modern day slavery.
