For the record, type-handling has been "mostly harmless" in the past
few years (unlike the horrible hack that it used to be in the distant
past). Since then it is also in main.

It is okay for packages to build-depend on it. It's pretty much a
no-op in Ubuntu, and having it in main is mostly for the purpose of
avoiding unnecessary deltas to Debian (for some packages it'd be the
only change).
