Ah but libfprint 0.1.0 should be out soonish (I think?) and that will have 
updates for that hardware plus add support for *tons* of other fingerprint 
readers.

A snapshot was released around Nov with a warning that upgrading from it may 
not work so great, so waiting for the actual 0.1.0 is probably a good idea. 
Daniel Drake's message about 0.1.0 didn't sound like he was expecting that 
it'd take a year, so I assume it'll be ready before Karmic ships.
