I'd like to see this happen also as having apport-collect in previous
releases would be quite valuable.  

It'd be even more useful if we could get apport package hooks that were
added in Jaunty into previous releases too.  Is there some way this
could be done without having to force people to download all of compiz
just for the package hook?
