Greetings,
my name is Jos Boumans and I joined Canonical earlier this month as
the new Ubuntu Server Manager.
I've been developing and deploying on Linux systems and contributing
to OSS since 1998, starting at the Univerity where I was studying.
My main contributions have been to the Perl programming language, 2%
of which is roughly my fault.
In a past life I've worked for a University, a large ISP, a Regional
Internet Registry and a Sillicon Valley startup, all of which ran on
Linux and OSS.
In this life, I'm looking forward to bring that experience to the
Ubuntu Server team and its community, helping it to become the server
solution that can fix bug #1.
If you'd like to get in touch (or ask me why Perl 'got that way') you
can find me on irc.freenode.net in, among others, #ubuntu-server and
#ubuntu-devel as 'jiboumans'.
Cheers,
Jos
