Hi folks,

first off, welcome Steve, great to see you joining motu-release!

Now, Feature Freeze starting at August 27 is not too far ahead, I'd like
everyone to get ready for it.

In particular: Start to fix
1) uninstallable packages [1]
2) FTBFS [2]
3) review NEW packages on REVU [3]
4) sponsor fixes [4]
(more or less random list from my head, please anynone chime in with
additions/corrections)

Now, with Feature Freeze pending, maybe it would be a good idea to do a
motu-release meeting again, to sort out the details for karmic's freeze.
How about Monday, 17th Aug, 13.00 UTC? (or what other date/time would suit
you?)

Then we could sort out details like if we want delegates again, or what
general exception policy we want for karmic's release or what package sets
need immediate attention.

Given the expectation, that delegates are desired again, and as I've had the
pleasure to select delegates during Jaunty's cycle, whom would you suggest
for karmic? Anyone volunteering for a particular position?

Finally, even if this may be the last time due to the archive reorganisation,
I'd like to thank the Ubuntu release team for the good coordination and
collaboration during the last cycles. I hope for karmic we'll perform well
together again!

Cheers,
   Stefan.
