ctrl-alt-backspace oddities

Guy's,
I really have to tell you, that disabling ctrl-alt-backspace in Ubuntu
is, in my humble opinion, one of the worst ideas I've ever seen.
That might save some people pressing these keys without thinking why
they do it (these keys have no known other function), to lose data.
They have to learn that it's good practice to save whatever you're
working on every 2 minutes, anyway.
But it's totally annyoing for many people used to use this command!
It's totally annyoing that you cannot even get out of the gui easily
when things break.
Usability of computers is very important. But it's about making things
easy - not saving totally stupid users to do stupid things that break
their systems.
They will come up with new ideas for doing that sooon enough!
Such actions don't make anything easy - they sacrifice usability of
people handling computers with care for saving people who are
careless.
I'm not going to discuss this any further. I just have the need to
tell you and beg you to not make such decisions anymore.
Take it as a one-man-petition against making systems stupid for the stupids.
Henning
