While these numbers show that "xf86-video-intel 2.4 driver [is]
performing better than the newer xf86-video-intel 2.6 driver does when
both were using EXA with the same options" [1], the numbers also only
cover 2D performance. What matters when using compiz is 3D performance,
and here the 2.6 branch really looses off.

I really wonder why 3d is so neglected in the 2.6 and 2.7 branches.
Wasn't DRI2 supposed to actually *improve* performance? Or is the world
here waiting for Gallium3d to appear?
