I think it should be feasible to have a apport hook start checkbox to
ask the user some questions and run some further tests before returning
control to apport to collect more targeted information.
Somewhat related we also have a Karminc work item to facilitate bug
filing directly from checkbox on failed tests, using apport (was planned
for Jaunty but slipped).
