Does Gnome offer any hooks that could be used for an "Are you sure?"
message on shutdown?

It would be really nice to have a script that monitors the home
directory, and reacts to any (non-hidden) saved there. Then, either a
notification could be launched as soon as the file is saved, or a flag
is set to ask for an additional conformation on shutdown--or both.
