That would be a possibility, I'll check into it, but some sort of a
"filter" over the -proposed (an maybe -backports) repositories would
require less server-side resources (as using a PPA would require a
rebuild, I guess?).

I think this is already possible with apt preferences, but there is no
user-friendly GUI for it...

Most people only want to test bugfixes for bugs that hurt them...  ;-)
