It basically says that you may be running a self-compiled kernel and, as you
can't have more than one vbox kernel module installed at the same time, you
should be able to install virtualbox without the module and build it yourself.
You can argue that if you can build your own kernel module then you can compile
virtualbox from source too, though...

Also, virtualbox is still useful without the module, in the sense that it
starts, and you can change general settings and VM settings... you just can't
boot one. So while I agree with you in that virtualbox won't be that useful
without the kernel module, there a couple of reasons to not make it a hard
dependency. And as long as the module is installed by default, I think having it
in Recommends instead of Depends is alright, and that would allow us to be in
sync with Debian.

I don't really care if we have this small diff though (and I don't run a
self-compiled kernel ;)
