Hello,
I was wondering what it takes to get a bug milestoned for an ubuntu
release. I filed a bug that is a serious regression from feisty making
ubuntu completely unusable on some ATI graphics cards. I thought this
was serious enough to be important to be fixed before final release.
What I did:
- Filed a bug (
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-ati/+bug/133192
)
- Subscribed the Ubuntu X team
- Provided all needed info
- Bug was filed upstream too
- Confirmed by several people
- Filed at the iso tracker several times
- Nominated for gutsy in launchpad
- Subscribed ubuntu-release
- Emailed a member of the release team in response to an email asking
for bugs that should be milestoned
- Mentioned in a forum thread asking for release blocking bugs
When I looked up the irclogs of the distroteam meeting a few days ago,
I was suprised this bug wasn't even mentioned. It hasn't been
milestoned for gutsy either.
It is probably too late now to get fixed, but I was wondering if I
should have done anything different or if this bug just isn't grave
enough to be fixed before release?
Cheers,
Wouter
