I was going to say, last night when I started reading this I was 
shocked, and started looking for my XMMS replacement.  I tried 
RhythmBox, BeepMediaPlayer, BeepMediaPlayer2 (BMPx), and Audacious (or 
beepmediaplayer) and really, none hold a candle.  They just have a 
different feel that just isn't as fast or something.  I really like XMMS 
and likewise would be sad to see it go.
