I don't think there's a particular problem here. I was just going to
wire them in in what seems to me the obvious way.
Perhaps it would be best if, when you have a package with some actual
tests, you'd let me know ? I can then have a play with integrating
those tests into my autopkgtest setup and the result can show you what
I had in mind.
