I've now built most of xorg 7.2 successfully in a Feisty chroot, roughly
in this order (note, these are the packages that were updated in the
release, and for instance x11proto-core is the only new proto-package
which isn't already in feisty):

x11proto-core
xtrans
xcb-proto NEW (sync from Debian experimental)
libfontenc
libice
libxau
libxdmcp
libxfont
libpthread-stubs NEW (sync from Debian experimental)
libxcb NEW (sync from Debian experimental)
libsm
libx11
libxext
libxevie
libxfixes
libxfontcache
libxdamage
libxcomposite
libxrender
libxft
libxi
libxkbfile
libxrandr
libxres
libxt
libxpm
libxmu
libxv
libxvmc
libxaw
libxcursor
libxss
libdrm (sync from Debian experimental)
appres
beforelight
editres
fonttosfnt
luit
sessreg
twm
xauth
xdm
xf86dga
xfs
xinit
xmodmap

TODO:
xkbutils bundle
xfonts-utils bundle
xfonts-encodings (update done)
xfonts-cyrillic bundle
drivers
mesa (oh why doesn't it use any patch system... ;)
xorg-server (merge done)
xorg
xorg-docs

now I'm updating/merging the drivers. Mesa is the one remaining that needs
to be merged in order to build xorg-server.
