The speed is adjustable, the gconf key is
/apps/compiz/plugins/wall/allscreens/options/slide_duration
But when I made it faster I almost got seasick because it was
traveling so fast between the viewports.

This is fixed with the latest compiz-fusion-plugins-main upload.
