Hello,

I don't really follow this list, but Rocco Stanzione pointed me to this
thread. Matt Zimmerman's CC must have been lost in the mail.

Unfortunately, Rocco has made a number of misleading and specious
claims regarding iptables on the list and in e-mail. Most are based on
the fact that Ubuntu's iptables package is out of sync with Debian's.
He clearly didn't research that.

There's probably a lot I could discuss about the packages I have made
and the perceived shortcomings, but it has proven pointless to discuss
things with people with other agendas. Rocco wants to create a new
iptables package for Ubuntu and he has my blessing. Not that my
blessing is worth anything.
