Did you use their Mksquashfs 1.3 patch, or patch Mksquashfs 2.0 or later?
If you used Mksquashfs 1.3 you should be aware that using Mksquashfs 2.0 or
later should achieve about 10% better compression than 1.3. This is because
Squashfs 2.0 and later uses fragment blocks. I cannot comment on the speed
decrease because I've never used LZMA with Squashfs. However, Squashfs 2.0
and later filesystems are also significantly faster reading off CD than 1.3.
This of course only applies if you did use Mksquashfs 1.3.
There are LZMA patches floating around for Squashfs 3.0 and later elsewhere
(i.e. SLAX website).
