Proposal for solving CD Size problems

Is it possible to stamp 700 Mb or 800 Mb CD at the factory that makes
the Shipit! CD's? If so, then a simple increase of maximum size for
the desktop live cd would get us trough edgy+1 and postpone this
question by a half a year or maybe even a full year.
