Ok. So the source diff is not the issue then, as Martin said it can be 
handled even by MOM easily.
What do you mean by binary compatibility? Packages synced from debian 
and unchanged will still work. There will indeed by a few packages for 
which the depends field will be different from debian to take advantage 
of the split. However they're only a handful and again the changes are 
small. Is there anything else I missed?
If not I'd like to get this done before Beta so g-a-i and onboard can 
get on the CD and the unneeded deps of ldm removed to save space.
