That there is already a diff between debian and ubuntu since you
updated this before them, so it is misleading to say that you will not
accept a patch to the ubuntu package for fear it may cause divergence.
It sounded as if it would cause merging problems instead of a clean sync
when the time comes, but those problems are already present if the
packages are not exactly in sync now.
