Can you provide more details? Is this documented somewhere?

What needs to be done to make it work?

The thing is that:
- NM works for many users.
- For sure it works a hell of a lot better than the g-s-t config tool.
- It can do things that g-s-t can't (WPA).
- g-s-t only really works if one does not change WLANs often (which is a
  pretty *un*common use case)
