I hope it wouldn't surprise you to learn that I have in fact used the amd64
port. :-)  I have been using and testing the various ports of Ubuntu since
they were created.

My usage profile is clearly different from yours, however.  I never use
Wine, and I rarely miss Flash on systems where I don't have it installed.  A
bit of functionality which is crippling for one type of user may be entirely
unimportant to a range of other users.
